Inspirational journeys by Merhis Living customers who have found their dream home

Giecy & Puneet Sharma

Giecy and husband Puneet purchased their 2-BED, 2-BATH apartment on the 15th floor of the Inspire Blacktown’s tower of 184 apartments for $600,000.

Their Story

Giecy and Sharma realised their dream of moving to Australia several years ago to be closer to her parents (also Filipino immigrants). It was here she also found her beau and husband ‘Puneet’ . Both are hardworking professional nurses also studying for their Masters. Having rented in the Blacktown area for several years they have witnessed first-hand the exciting and swift changes in community, amenities, infrastructure, and growth. After three years of house-hunting, The inspiration for their new home struck, literally, while driving to work one-day when Giecy passed the Merhis Living Inspire Blacktown’s display board. The stunning new apartments on offer with the right price tag Giecy realised this could be their new family home and the piece of real estate they have been searching for.

In Their Words

We love the view of the Blue Mountains from our apartment. The strata fees were lower too; as there is no gym or swimming pool (which we would not use anyhow). The important features to us were the outdoor BBQ areas and children’s play spaces. We just can’t wait to move in.

Inspire Blacktown

Step-By-Step

  • Spotted the Inspire Blacktown display board on the way home from work.
  • Access to the first-home buyer’s grant meant that the stamp duty discount meant the apartment was within her price range and made buying their first home at a young age possible.
  • After following up with Merhis and being shown the vision for Blacktown Inspire which include a view of the Blue Mountains and high-quality finishes including Fisher & Paykel appliances and stone bench tops”. Giecy and husband Puneet purchased their two-bedroom, two bathroom apartment.

Hao & Steven

Hao and husband Steven purchased their 2 BED + STUDY / 2 BATH / 2 CAR apartment within Aya Eliza Auburn in April, 2018.

Their Story

Married in Nanchang, China, Hao and husband Steven had both previously studied in and become attracted to Sydney, when they decided they wanted to continue their life here. They spent three months seeking an apartment, searching in Carlton – where they were renting – Miranda and Carlingford. Also on their list were Parramatta and Strathfield, which were too expensive for their budget, but placed neighbouring Auburn on their radar. They inspected another apartment in Auburn but weren’t impressed, as it was away from the centre, it was an old building and had high strata fees. While they were in the area, they visited the Aya Eliza showroom, and within 30 minutes, they knew they wanted to live in this building. They found the architecture (by Marchese Partners) attractive, the design spacious and the location highly convenient. A couple of friends had warned them about Auburn’s reputation, but now that they live here, this doesn’t reflect their experience at all. A lot of people say hello on the street and it feels very energetic, with the local council, the library and the church all publicising events on a regular basis.

In Their Words

It’s a very spacious design of 98sqm. Two bedrooms plus very spacious study, which is now my son’s playground. He is very cheeky. His toys are all over that room. At least we can keep the rest of our home clean. The great thing about this design is that I feel like I bought a 3-bedroom apartment for the price of two bedrooms, which is great for now and also if we use it as an investment later.
